Salicylamide, also known as ortho hydroxybenzamide, is a widely used chemical and pharmaceutical intermediate. It is also a medication used to treat fever, headache, neuralgia, joint pain, and active rheumatism. This product is a white needle shaped crystal that is soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water, and soluble in alkaline solutions such as ammonia and sodium hydroxide.
